STAFFORD, TEXAS - A minivan crashed into a Stafford home early Wednesday.

Life Flight was responding to the scene just before 7 a.m. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital.

Views form Air 11 show an older Toyota minivan crashed through a fence and into the back of a home near Promenade Blvd.

Neighbors said that the van clipped several curbs before jumping a median and slammed into the back bedroom of a home, where Jessie Garcia's in-law was sleeping.

"All of a sudden, she heard the boom. She thought some kind of burglar...When she stood up all the bricks came down," said Garcia. The resident is expected to be OK.

Police say that the driver was a middle-aged woman dressed as if heading for work and had a lunch with her. There was no evidence of drugs or alcohol. Authorities are still investigating.
