Tomball's 6th annual Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival this weekend

Do you like mud bugs? If you do, then go to Tomball this weekend. That's where they're celebrating - the crawfish! They call it the Rails and Tails Festival and Sherry Williams was there.

TOMBALL, Texas – There will be tasty crawfish, live music, vendors and a kids’ zone at Tomball’s downtown Depot Plaza Saturday and Sunday as the city hosts its sixth annual Rails & Tails Mudbug Festival.

The award winning event is a full weekend celebrating crawfish through food, music, competitive eating and live crawfish racing.

TV’s “Daytripper,” Chet Garner, will be on hand Saturday at noon to meet and greet fans.

Troy Hess & the Texas Heartbreakers, Bayou Roux, the Bottle Rockers and Louisiana’s Rockin’ Fiddler – Waylon Thibodeaux perform tomorrow. The live entertainment continues Sunday with Silverado, the Powell Brothers, and Beatles cover band, The Fab 5.

The entry and parking to the festival are free.

The Depot Plaza is at 201 South Elm St. at Market Street along the railroad tracks.
