Deputy's patrol car crushed in Crosby crash

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies say a deputy and a citizen were hurt in a violent collision on FM 2100 late Tuesday.

According to the sheriff’s office, around 9:45 p.m. a woman driving a Chevrolet pickup pulled into the roadway and then collided with the patrol vehicle while making a turn.

The deputy’s vehicle rolled into the grassy shoulder, partially crushing the front end.

The deputy was taken to the hospital for x-rays but is said to be in stable condition. The woman driving the pickup suffered minor injuries.

No charges are expected in the case, but deputies say the woman will likely face a traffic citation.
