HOUSTON -- Rain returned Wednesday afternoon as storm cells drifted very slowly from south to north.
Some showers are producing lots of lightning.
"I don't expect to see anything severe, but some of these are producing heavy downpours from time to time," 11 News meteorologist David Paul said.
Moisture from the Gulf of Mexico is coming into the area, so there's a 30 percent chance for rain around 3 p.m.
Those chances dip to 20 percent after dinner, though.
The Fourth of July may be a wet celebration, because there's a 40 percent chance of rain that day.
