HOUSTON -- Scattered showers and thunderstorms moved southeast from the Gulf of Mexico into the Houston area before lunch time Tuesday.
The city of Friendswood said a funnel cloud was reported near Kemah and another near FM 518 and I-45 around 10 a.m. A viewer in Galveston reported seeing funnels early Tuesday morning.
Drenching downpours are done for the day, but don't put that umbrella away just yet," said 11 News Meteorologist Gene Norman. "We're expecting more possible thunderstorms tomorrow."

Early Wednesday morning, there may be scattered showers before sunrise on the coast. By lunch time, they'll move inland.
"We're going to have this pattern for at least the next couple of days," 11 News Meteorologist David Paul said.
For the rest of the week, rain chances stay at least at 20 percent.
