MAGNOLIA, Texas -- A 14-year-old girl is in serious condition after getting caught behind a pool table and in the middle of a dispute.

It all happened at a home on Winterstrong Drive in Magnolia around 10 p.m. Thursday.

A man in a blue car suddenly threw it into reverse, backing over the yard and into the garage where the girl was watching another man play pool.

Montgomery County Sheriff's investigators said the driver was allegedly trying to hit that other man, but he jumped out of the way. The girl was pinned behind the table.

Her mother saw what happened and went to help, but her father went after the suspect with a pool stick.

The suspect ran off to a neighbor's house for help, and he was arrested when the resident called authorities and reported a bloody man banging on her door.

The girl was taken to Texas Children's Hospital.
