Kings Manor residents in 911 limbo

The crashing sound let Cinda Harris know something was wrong.
Looking through her front door peephole, she saw a man she didn't recognize.
A man she believes was a would be burglar
“I was scared to death said Cinda.
In addition, it’s a fear that echoes here in this small subdivision of 120 homes.
Harris tells us she isn't the only victim of crime here in Kings Manor. In fact there have been six break ins. And apparently, part of the problem has to do with the newness of this neighborhood.
See, Kings Manor sits on the Montgomery county and Harris County line. So when residents call 911, operators have a hard time locating it.
For one, the neighborhood is less than two years old and doesn't show up in the automated mapping system.
“We usually have to give a phone number and go into a Google search and find our address,” said Harris.
Then there's the issue of which jurisdiction responds: Houston Police or Montgomery County.
11 News is still waiting to hear from Montgomery County's 911 divisions about the issue, since it is this county, which takes King Manors calls.
Fearing the man would break in, Harris left her home from her garage, armed with a shotgun.
A 911 call, she says, would have been too late.
