HOUSTON – Houston Police say a man is in custody after he kept his wife and children in an apartment during an overnight standoff.
SWAT officers were called to Edgebrook at the Arlington Place Apartments around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.
Police said they were called to the home because of a reported disturbance, but the man refused to come outside or let his family exit the home. Police said the man had a rifle, so the SWAT team was called in to try and talk the man out.
Eventually the man came out but allegedly put up a fight, so officers shocked him with a stun gun. He was then taken into custody.
No one in the family was hurt.
It’s unknown what charges the man will face if any.
