SPRING, Texas – An 11-year veteran of the Houston Police Department shot and killed himself on Saturday.
It happened in the 200 block of Pruitt in Spring, Texas.
Around 4:40 a.m., the Montgomery County Sherriff’s Office responded to a shooting call. They arrived to find a 39-year-old HPD officer dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to HPD spokesman Keese Smith.
The officer’s name has not been released at this time.
