HOUSTON -- A man said he was forced to stab his co-worker during a fight at their northwest Houston jobsite, police said late Tuesday.
Officers with the Houston Police Department said it happened around 11 p.m. on W. Little York near Yorkfield.
Investigators said the men got into an altercation after one of them was fired from his job. The man accused in the killing told police he pulled out a knife to defend himself after the co-worker pulled out a screw driver.
He stabbed the assailant but then called 911 and performed CPR until paramedics arrived. The co-worker died at the scene, however.
Police said the surviving co-worker was taken in for questioning. No charges were immediately filed in the case.
