Pasadena officer reportedly forced to shoot suspect

PASADENA, Texas -- A Pasadena police officer said she was forced to shoot a suspect when a routine traffic stop turned violent.
The situation started when the officer pulled over a vehicle for speeding late Saturday afternoon.
The driver allegedly got out of his vehicle and approached the officer, despite being ordered to stop.
The officer said she tried to use her Taser but missed. The suspect then allegedly tried to wrestle the officer's gun away from her.
She ended up shooting the suspect in the shoulder.
He is now in the hospital. The officer suffered a broken finger.
