HISD names its Teachers of the Year

HOUSTON -- When it comes to teaching, they've certainly made the grade.
The Houston Independent School District crowned one elementary and one secondary school teacher as their Teachers of the Year: Melaine Leavens of Wainwright Elementary and David Brown of Challenge Early College.
They were among 281 of the teachers nominated for the honor.
