Billboard battle comes to a halt
10:14 AM CST on Wednesday, December 19, 2007
The battle over Houston billboards is taking a few weeks off.
As we expected, Wednesday morning the Houston City Council decided to hold off on a proposed deal with Clear Channel.
They’ll take it up again January ninth.
Mayor Bill White had hammered out an agreement with the billboard company, which would have brought about 800 signs down.
The catch was another 400 billboards would have been allowed to move somewhere else.
