Beltway 8 shut down after fatal accident

A fatal accident in West Houston has caused all southbound lanes of Beltway 8 to shut down near the Katy Freeway.
They have been shut down since 2 p.m. Thursday after two trucks and a car collided.
One person has died, but it’s unclear which vehicle that person was in.
The freeway won’t reopen until crews have cleared the scene.
