10:11 AM CDT on Thursday, July 12, 2007
The bond has been raised for a suspect shot by a Texas legislator.
Bruce Anthony Toler's bond is now $60,000 because he has had six prior felony convictions.
The 55-year-old man went before Judge Devon Anderson on Thursday morning on crutches.
State Rep. Borris Miles shot Toler on Sunday evening because he said Toler threatened him with a knife.
Police believe Toler and another unidentified suspect were trying to steal copper from Rep. Miles' house, which is under construction.
