Missing teen's body found in Spring Creek

02:20 PM CDT on Thursday, May 31, 2007

From 11 News staff reports

Texas EquuSearch crews found the body Thursday of a teen who went missing in Spring Creek.

Randle Terry, 18, went missing Tuesday. He was found about 1 mile from where he went in.

Detectives were heading to the scene.

His mother, Rondia Terry, said Wednesday she accepts that instead of looking forward to graduating from high school on Friday, her 18-year-old son is underwater.

"I don't want my son left in this water tonight, please do what you can do to get my son out of the water please get him out today,” said Terry. “Whatever it takes."

Officials and family search for Randle Terry.

EquuSearch used sonar to narrow the search area, but it was delayed due to severe weather that moved into the area late Wednesday afternoon.

"Divers can't swim the entire creek when we get some sonar that could be something we'll send some of them in for that,” said Equusearch founder Tim Miller.

As the search continued the crowd grew. Classmates, family, even old babysitters came to help.

"This is my baby, he was to graduate from Westfield High School on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. so can you imagine,” the tearful mother said.
