Eastbound lanes of Beltway still closed after tanker spill
11:29 AM CDT on Monday, April 2, 2007
The eastbound lanes of the Beltway at Highway 90 are still closed after a tanker spill.
Around 11 p.m. Sunday, an 18-wheeler carrying 8,000 gallons of glycerin spilled under an overpass.
Shelton Hazmat and Harris County Sheriff's deputies were on the scene, but no one was injured.
The chemical did not pose a hazard to the community. Glycerin is used in cattle feed.
