Body on beach identified as Alief ISD teacher

A woman found dead near the Flagship Hotel Thursday has been identified as Natasha Solidum, 30, of Houston, according to Galveston police. Alief ISD Natasha Solidum Alief ISD confirmed that she was a first grade teacher at Cummings Elementary. They said crisis teams will be on site Monday for students and staff that require conseling. Her body was found floating in the water near 24th Street around 11 a.m. Thursday. Investigators don't think she'd been there very long. Her car was parked nearby on the Seawall. Solidum suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest.
