Argument over NASCAR leaves one dead

According to police, it appears a fight over auto racing triggered a deadly shooting between two friends.

It happened in the 2200 block of Westerland on the city's southwest side.

Houston police investigated the shooting of one roommate allegedly by another, over NASCAR racing.

Investigators say the suspect got into some type of an argument with his roommate over NASCAR racing.

The argument became so heated that the suspect allegedly pulled out a gun and shot the other man in the chest.

The victim died at the scene.

The gunman was taken into custody by Houston police.
