Houston woman sues Facebook over fake account, pornographic images

HOUSTON – A Houston woman suing Facebook for $123 million is speaking out.

Meryem Ali claims an ex-friend created a fake Facebook page under her name, using photoshopped pictures of her face superimposed on pornographic images.

Ali says she begged Facebook to take the page down for months, but the social media giant ignored her.

So now, she's taking the company to court. Ali asked us to hide her image on TV

"I just want to know why they have live people behind a telephone if you want to advertise with them, but if you want to get help for an imposter page, there's no one to help you, you have to go law enforcement," she said. "That doesn't seem right to me."

Ali decided to sue for $123 million because that's 10 cents for each of Facebook's 1.23 billion members.
