HOUSTON -- With so many Houstonians out of work, 11 News This Morning is helping you find out where the jobs are.

Our latest inside tip? The largest hotel in Houston is hiring.

According to Houston Works USA, the Hilton Americas in Houston -- as well as a new hotel in the Webster-Clear Lake area -- is looking for workers.

At the Hilton, which has more than 1,200 rooms, there are openings in seven different departments, ranging from management to culinary to finance to security. Some of the positions are entry-level.

Three of the available jobs are in management, including general manager of the hotel’s fine dining department, director of banquet facilities and assistant director.

All of the jobs are full-time positions.

HR representatives at the hotel said potential applicants should dress professionally, grab their resumes and walk right in – they like it when people apply in person.

"We also have computers available for use in our Human Resources department. They can come out and fill-in an application online anytime between 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday," said Hilton Americas’ Angela Reardon.

As far as other jobs, Houston Works USA said the new Holiday Inn in the Webster-Clear Lake area is having its grand opening next week and still has many unfilled jobs.
