HOUSTON—As meteorologists keep their eye on Tropical Storm Ernesto, conditions in Houston remain extremely hot and humid.
Ernesto may strengthen to hurricane level, but that is not expected to happen until Monday. While its track is still unclear, another tropical disturbance has formed in the Atlantic, which may or may not take shape into Tropical Storm Florence.
Isolated showers are possible on Sunday, according to KHOU 11 News Meteorologist Mario Gomez, but in the meantime we can expect the normal August heat.
Highs Friday afternoon are just shy of 100 degree mark in several areas including Huntsville at 99, Navasota at 99 and Conroe at 98. Of course, it actually feels more like 105.
