Joshua Cummings, 36, was killed in what appears to be a tragic accident at the range earlier this month.

According to the sheriff's office, a gun range employee was cleaning a hunting rifle when it went off. The bullet went through a wall and then a window, striking Cummings who was walking into the range.

Cummings spent years working for CenterPoint Energy in a variety of roles in Texas, Arkansas and Mississippi.

Center Point released a statement which, in part, read, "He was a respected colleague and friend to many at CenterPoint Energy. Josh will be deeply missed."
