Dickinson parents upset over swastika-drawing punishment
10:11 AM CDT on Tuesday, April 29, 2008
DICKINSON, Texas -- The parents of some Dickinson High School students who are upset about the punishment two cheerleaders got over drawing swastikas on school property are planning to voice their concerns.
They say they will go before the school board next Monday to discuss it.
The girls were given in-house suspensions for using permanent markers to draw swastikas on books, a school bulletin board, a campus wall and a U.S. flag.
They were not kicked off the cheerleading squad.
