My name is Alicia. We are in the middle of Galveston, on 50th. We also felt this huge explosion,(it closed our door) and heard it as well, just to let you know it reached as far as the middle of the island too.......My employees on 61st street were outside when it happened, they saw a huge fireball, and heard a rumbling....they started to turn around to go inside and their hair was blown back, and they said the blast of air coming towards them was so strong it blew their clothes against their bodies......

hello i just wanted to report that i could here and fell the explosion in san leon texas about 15 to 20 minutes away from where it happened my windows also shook we did not no what it was until it came on the news thank you for your time stacy

Just wanted to let you guys know that the explosion was felt in Port Bolivar too. I recieved a call from my brother and he said that the there was a long rumbling sound and that things on top of the entertainment center began to vibrate and the wind chimes began hitting together, they could also see smoke from down there.

Hi my name is Jessica Ordonez and I felt it all the wy down I live on 31st and brodway I have heard an ambulance coming down Brodway and have heard them going back up to T.C. I have friends that work there and have not heard a word a back from them since I have been paging them. God bless the victims and the families that will affected by this great tragedy.

hi, my name is george crater.... i work at farmer's copper ltd in galveston... when the explosion happened, it felt like an 18-wheeler hit our building, which is a 2-story huge warehouse; it shook for about 4-5 seconds, and we didn't know what happened until we looked outside and saw a huge smoke cloud in the t.c. area, then we feared the worst...

My son was about 600 feet from the ground zero. It turned the trailer over and they had to come out windows. THEY TOLD THE MEN 4 was dead ,but he stated that there were 6 bodys on the ground and one woman was burned very bad with one leg gone an stomach burned out . Gary&Esther
