Firefighter injured while battling Baytown house fire

BAYTOWN, Texas -- The Baytown Fire Department brought in three tanker trucks to try and put out a big fire at a home overnight, but the property was complete destroyed.

It was reported around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on John Martin near W. Archer.

A large doublewide mobile home caught fire. The family made a safe escape, but the fire was so intense it quickly consumed the home.

Nearby Crosby and Highlands Fire Departments joined in to try and put out the blaze.

One firefighter suffered second to third degree burns while battling the fire.

An investigation is underway.
