Firefighter injured in SW Houston apartment fire

HOUSTON - A two-alarm apartment fire left one firefighter injured Sunday afternoon in southwest Houston.

Officials responded to the scene just before 1:30 p.m. Sunday in the 3800 block of Synott Road and found heavy flames coming from one apartment building. That’s when a second alarm was called.

The fire was declared controlled shortly after 2 p.m. Sunday. Officials believe one firefighter suffered from heat exhaustion.
