Security cameras at Forest Brook High School captured to boys as they trashed the high school.

Two teens were arrested in connection to the vandalism at Forest Brook High School last month. The pair trashed the school do much that school officials may be forced to delay the start in classes at the Houston school.

One of the suspects was a star athlete when he was in high school.

Demond Demouchet, 18, was a star pitcher at Forest Brook. His grandfather said his family is heartbroken because he had a full college scholarship to play in Tyler.

Authorities told 11 News that a Crime Stoppers tip is what led them to arrest the two boys. Two suspects were captured on security cameras during their rampage.

"Once we released that video with the crime we started getting information from Crime Stoppers," NFISD Superintendent William Jones. "And my police department is telling me that they're getting the same name, over and over."

North Forest ISD officials said one of those arrested is a former Forest Brook student and the other is a recent graduate. Both were arrested Monday.

The arrests come just as the North Forest ISD school board is set to meet tonight to discuss the vandalism and the possibility of having Forest Brook students attend classes at rival Smiley High School because damage to the school was so extensive.

The damage could cost more than $1 million to fix.

School officials said Tuesday night it may be next year before the students can return to their school.

"For years now, North Forest has not provided our students with adequate education, and now they're combining two schools together that are known for fighting and known for hating each other," parent Martha Chaney said.

Demouchet is being held on a $999,000 bond. The other suspect is a juvenile, so his records will not be released.
