07:53 AM CST on Tuesday, January 6, 2009
HOUSTON—Harris County Sheriff’s investigators on Tuesday were working to find the owner of a couple of buildings where nearly 200 marijuana plants were found.
The buildings are on Chaplin Avenue, near Beltway 8, in northeast Harris County.
The Aldine Fire Department went there Monday to put out a fire in one of the buildings, but when they arrived, they found the plants.
Authorities then searched the building next door and found supplies used to grow marijuana.
They believe the growers were planning to expand their operation.
