Police: Woman shot during feud with neighbor was a parole officer

HOUSTON – Police have identified a woman who was fatally shot when a feud between two female neighbors escalated Monday night in north Houston.
Police say 25-year-old Ashley Vonicanne Tillis died when the two women got into a heated argument, eventually leading to a fist fight in the 15300 block of Chipman at Dyna.
According to detectives, at one point one of the women got a gun and began shooting.
Tillis was rushed to the hospital, where she died.
Her suspected shooter was taken into custody.
Tillis had been a parole officer for the State of Texas for the last 3 years.
Funeral services for her will be held starting at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church. It’s located at 2401 Woodard St.
