07:10 AM CDT on Wednesday, July 30, 2008
PLUM GROVE, Texas -- The Plum Grove volunteer fire station in Liberty County finally found their missing brush fire truck, but it wasn’t in the shape they were hoping for.
The truck was stolen last month.
A fisherman found it Tuesday night, hidden deep in the woods about a mile from the station.
The person who took it destroyed the vehicle and just about all the equipment on it.
Fire officials said they got several fingerprints off of the truck and will turn them over to police.
