Restaurant owner killed with machete

A north Houston restaurant owner was killed with a machete Sunday night. KHOU-TV The incident happened in north Houston. It happened at the Lucky Seafood Market at Interstate 45 and Crosstimbers around 10:30 p.m. Houston police identified the victim as 61-year-old William Huang. He suffered mutiple lacerations to the head and died at the scene. Officials said the suspect, 36-year-old Leon Andrade, went to confront his ex-girlfriend at the restaurant, and the business owner tried to stop the fight. The suspect became angry with the owner and chased him outside, pulling out a machete and hitting the owner in the head multiple times. Police said it was a fatal blow. The woman who was confronted was taken to the hospital to be checked out but did not suffer any injuries. Police said Andrade and a second, unknown suspect fled the scene in a green van with white stripes. HPD said the van is a 1989 green Chevorlet with the Texas license plate 273-CRN. The driver's door is a different color than the rest of the van. Anyone with information on the whereabouts of the suspect is urged to call the HPD Homicide Division at (713) 308-3600.
