HOUSTON—Crime Stoppers is hoping the public can help solve a 29-year-old Houston man’s cold case murder.

Devarek Joseph was shot to death at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Crossview Drive on June 24. It happened in broad daylight, police said.

Investigators say Joseph was meeting with two men in the complex parking lot when one of them pulled out a gun and opened fire.

The suspects fled the scene in a silver car with a black convertible top – possibly a late-model Mitsubishi.

On their way out, investigators say the suspects crashed their car against the exit gate to open it, and the car sustained damage to the right front side.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS. You could be eligible for a $5,000 reward.
