HOUSTON – A 7-year-old boy died after being ejected during an accident in northeast Houston overnight.
According to the Houston Police Department, it happened just before 1 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of Maxey Road.
Investigators said a female driver, 29, was traveling south in a white Nissan Rogue when she failed to maintain a single lane, went into a grassy area, struck a speed limit sign and a light pole.
Her vehicle then went airborne and landed on its driver side in a business parking lot, police said.
The 7-year-old victim was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other children, ages 4 and 6, and the driver were transported to Memorial Hermann Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
There is no arrest or charge filed at this time as the investigation is continuing,
