HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies believe a trio of robbers carjacked a driver and held up two gas stations in northwest Harris County just minutes apart from each other.

The first robbery was reported shortly before 9 p.m. Monday at a convenience store on Louetta Road.

Just 15 minutes later, suspects matching the same description held up the Shell station on N. Sam Houston Parkway at Highway 249.

Deputies said two gunmen wearing masks went into the store. They took money from the register and stole the clerk's wallet. There may have been a third suspect waiting in the getaway car, which was described as a red Chevrolet Cavalier.

It’s believed the vehicle used in the robberies was stolen in an earlier carjacking.

No injuries were reported.

A detailed description of the suspects was not released.
