ALVIN, Texas – A man who kidnapped, beat up and sexually assaulted a woman is on the loose in Brazoria County.

On August 13, Sheriff's Deputies responded to an assault call.  The woman at the address told police that she had been kidnapped, assaulted and beaten by her husband, Mateo Bravo. Police said the victim needed medical attention and that the assault occurred at a house down the street.

Bravo allegedly used physical force to remove his wife from a business in Alvin, Texas.  He then drove the women to 3902 Rolling Meadows where he allegedly beat her multiple times and sexually assaulted her over a period of several hours.

The victim escaped from the suspect's residence when Bravo left the home for a brief period of time, and called the police.

The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was treated and released for her injuries.

Sheriff's Deputies and officers from the Alvin Police Department conducted a search in the area, but Bravo was not located. He is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Aggravated Sexual Assault and Kidnapping.

Anyone with information as to the location of Mateo Bravo is asked to call the Brazoria County Sheriff's Office at 979-388-2392 or Brazoria County Crime Stoppers at 800-460-2222.
