Bush IAH hits record low temperature
10:35 AM CST on Friday, February 16, 2007
Friday could prove to be the coldest day of the year as Bush Intercontinental reported a record low temperature for this date at 27 degrees.
Elsewhere around the viewing area, Sugar Land's low was 23 degrees while Galveston's was 33. With the wind chill, though, it felt like 18 in Sugar Land.
Other lows reported overnight:
Angleton: 28
Conroe: 23
Ellingtonfield: 28
Hooks Airport: 26
By lunchtime Friday it will be 51 degrees, which is still well below normal for this time of year. Usually it's about 66 or 67 degrees.
The next five days will be a smattering of weather, ending in chances for rain.
"This weekend will be beautiful," 11 News meteorologist David Paul said. "Highs in the 60s Saturday and Sunday, but Tuesday a Pacific system coming in bringing a chance for rain."
