Suspect charged after body found stuffed in container at motel

HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS - Harris County Sheriff’s Deputies say a man has been charged after a body was found stuffed in a container at a motel.

According to HCSO, Eric Pleasant, 34, has been arrested and charged with the murder. 

Deputies responded to the Champions Lodge motel just after 6 p.m. Thursday in the 4700 block of FM 1960.

According to police, Pleasant and the male victim were in a physical altercation when Pleasant allegedly pulled out a handgun and shot the victim inside of the motel room.

The body was reportedly found stuffed in a duffel bag or container, but there was no indication as to how the person died. 

The person’s body was taken to the medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.

Pleasant is being held on a $60,000 bond.
