Who killed 'Chicken Nugget?' Reward offered in pony shooting case

Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a family's pony in Liberty County.

LIBERTY COUNTY, Texas - Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of suspects involved in the fatal shooting of a family’s pony in Liberty County.

Deputies with the Liberty County Sheriff’s Office say the pony, named “Chicken Nugget,” was shot and killed the night of Nov. 7 or in the early morning hours of Nov. 8 at the family’s ranch on Private Road 2045. The pony was found dead with a gunshot wound to the head around 10:30 a.m. Nov. 8.

Anyone with information on the suspect(s) involved in this case is urged to call the sheriff’s office at (936) 336-4500 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-392 STOP (7867).
