Crowd favorite Budweiser Clydesdales part of Thanksgiving Day Parade

The crowd favorite is a part of this year's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

HOUSTON - The famous Budweiser Clydesdales are a part of this year's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

There's a lot of work that goes into getting the horses ready for the spotlight.

"On average they weigh about 2,000 pounds, which is about twice the size of a regular horse," said Ruby Helmuth, a Budweiser Clydesdale handler.

The horses travel 300 days a year and are on show in a different city every single week.

The horses are brushed and vacuumed every day. Every week, they're washed and clipped. And in between, they eat a lot! They eat about 20 pounds of grain a day and about 50 pounds of hay.

The mascot Dalmation, Clyde, is also in attendance at these events.
