Animal Control trying to save abandoned dog found in NW Houston

Animal Control is trying to save an abandoned dog found left for dead with duct tape over her eyes.

HOUSTON - Animal Control is trying to save a dog’s life after her owner left her for dead.

Houston police found the dog on Rushcreek Drive, a small stretch of road in northwest Houston.

Officers say people use the area between Spears Road and Ella Boulevard as a dumping ground. The abandoned dog, which appears to be a German Shepherd, had duct tape over her eyes and an infection on her legs.

“She was sitting here, pretty much barely moving with some water by, I guess, whoever dropped her off just deicded to leave her, abandon her, I guess leave her for dead,” said Officer V.E. Rogers with the Houston Police Department.
