HOUSTON - Animal Control is trying to save a dog’s life after her owner left her for dead.
Houston police found the dog on Rushcreek Drive, a small stretch of road in northwest Houston.
Officers say people use the area between Spears Road and Ella Boulevard as a dumping ground. The abandoned dog, which appears to be a German Shepherd, had duct tape over her eyes and an infection on her legs.
“She was sitting here, pretty much barely moving with some water by, I guess, whoever dropped her off just deicded to leave her, abandon her, I guess leave her for dead,” said Officer V.E. Rogers with the Houston Police Department.
