AVIANO, Italy – A Houston-area dad is gaining some popularity after he freestyle rapped to a fetal monitor in the delivery room while his wife gave birth.
U.S. Air Force Sgt. Charles McDaniel was sitting in a hospital room in Aviano, Italy, when he noticed the monitor was pulsing in a rhythmic beat. While waiting for staff to fix the issue, McDaniel decided to keep his wife distracted by rapping.
McDaniel’s delivery-related rap might have helped, as his wife, LaQuita, gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
As of Thursday morning, the video had been viewed more than 163,000 times.
