HOUSTON – Houston police are investigating a rollover crash that killed a 22-year-old woman on Highway 59 early Thursday.
Police said the woman was traveling at a high rate of speed in a Jeep Cherokee Sport southbound in the 4700 block of the Southwest Freeway at the West Loop around 2:45 a.m. when her vehicle hit the inside concrete wall and flipped over.
The woman, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected and died at the scene.
The freeway was closed for about two hours until the accident was cleared.
