HOUSTON –- Police investigated late Tuesday the shooting death of a 14-year-old boy outside an apartment complex in southwest Houston.
According to officers with the Houston Police Department, the shooting was reported in the 8900 block of Beechnut Street around 8:15 p.m.
Police said two young males were sitting in front of their apartment when two other males approached. Words were exchanged, and one of the two who walked up pulled out a gun and shot the young teen multiple times.
The victim was sent to Ben Taub Hospital in critical condition and later died. The suspects fled the scene.
Homicide investigators said a motive for the shooting wasn’t immediately determined.
A detailed description of the suspects was not released.
