HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –- A man in his 20s or 30s was struck and killed as he tried to cross Grand Parkway late Tuesday, deputies said.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the incident happened just south of I-10 around 11:20 p.m. Tuesday.
Deputies said an SUV traveling northbound struck the man as he tried to cross the toll way in an unprotected area. The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
The SUV’s driver stopped and called 911. He or she was questioned by deputies and then let go.
No charges are expected in the case.
