HARRIS COUNTY, Texas – Deputies investigated a deadly crash late Thursday night in northwest Harris County.
According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened on Boudreaux near FM-2920.
Investigators said a man in a Jeep veered into oncoming traffic and hit a Chrysler 300 sedan head-on. The man who was driving the Jeep was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was taken to the hospital in stable condition.
The family of four in the car that was hit was also taken to the hospital, but no other serious injuries were reported.
Authorities did not say what may have caused the husband to swerve his vehicle.
Investigators said the driver of the Chrysler tried to take evasive action by heading into the opposing lane of traffic where the Jeep should have been, but the Jeep also took evasive action and went back into his lane, causing the crash.
