TEXAS CITY, Texas — A worker was fatally injured late Saturday night in an industrial accident at the Dallas Group of America Inc.’s Texas City facility.
Virgel James Stoker, 26, died shortly after he was taken to the hospital Saturday night.
The incident happened at about 10 p.m. at the company’s facility at the Port of Texas City, 301 Dock Road, Texas City Homeland Security Coordinator Bruce Clawson said.
Details of what happened were unavailable but it appears Stoker was injured while working on industrial equipment, Clawson said. The equipment is used to package products the company sells, Clawson said.
