CONROE -- A woman was rescued Monday morning and her child was placed in CPS custody after an incident at the Caney Creek
Officials say it started with a report of a woman walking with a small child in a busy area at Highway 242 and FM 1485.
As a deputy approached, the woman dropped her child and then jumped off the bridge and into the water.
The woman later suffered a seizure and had to be pulled from the creek in a rescue basket.
The woman reportedly told police that she had some outstanding warrants.
Officials said the child was not hurt.
