HOUSTON—One woman has died after she was caught in the crossfire of a freeway shooting in northeast Houston early Saturday.
Police said around 3:45 a.m., several cars got into some sort of altercation while driving on the Eastex Freeway at Greens Road. That is when someone opened fire and three cars were hit by flying bullets.
The woman was struck in one of the cars and was driven to a nearby Memorial Hermann emergency room, but she did not survive. The other two cars drove to Aldine Mail Road and parked their vehicles in the Kroger parking lot.
Police are still investigating.
