HOUSTON – A woman was struck and killed by a passing motorist early Sunday after she got outside of her wrecked vehicle on the North Loop Freeway.
According to witnesses, the woman was traveling westbound on loop 610 when she lost control and slammed into a barricade on the freeway around 2:20 a.m. She then got out of the car and stepped into the freeway.
Another driver was trying to convince the woman to get out of the road, saying it was too dangerous, when an Impala came along and struck her disabled vehicle.
The woman’s car then hit her, killing her.
Houston police are investigating to see if alcohol was a factor with either driver.
